Golf Lleida & Country Club

At the beginning of the 20th century, Manuel Raventós Doménech acquired a 3,000 hectare estate of arid, desert and saline land. The arrival of water with the Aragon and Catalonia canal in 1910 and human effort made possible what is now Raimat, turning that desert land into a fertile land, known the world over for its wines and cavas.

 

In 1992, the Raventós Espona family promoted Raimat Golf Club in Lleida, designed by the Pepín Rivero studio. It stands out for its flexibility and wide fairways that allow the use of all clubs, respectfully integrating protected natural areas. The first 9 holes of the course were inaugurated in April 1994.

 

The culmination of the current 18 holes was developed by a team from the School of Agricultural Engineering of Lleida in 2000.
